About Us
Who is Hannah?

Hannah Coralynn Lewis was a vibrant 21-year-old whose life was tragically cut short by an unknown cardiomyopathy event. She had a deep love for animals, her community, family, and friends, leaving behind one-year-old daughter, Elizza.
After struggling through her first Christmas without Hannah, her mother, Pamela Johnson who now serves as President of the Hannah Project, was inspired by a powerful message: "If you can't buy for her, buy for someone in need."
This led Pam to connect with a young adult of Hannah's age to provide some much-needed Christmas gifts, but she felt a calling to reach even more lives.
Thus, the Hannah Project was born. With the support of her eldest son and Vice President, Kaleb Lewis, they are dedicated to making the Hannah Project a thriving initiative that helps the community, just as Hannah did through her service at local hotspots and her work with AmeriCorps.
The Hannah Project has experienced remarkable success in its first year as a legitimate nonprofit organization, making significant strides in supporting at-risk youth out of the system. Through a variety of community-based events, including our popular New Orleans dinner, Celebration of Life event, Kayak and Dine, and Halloween Ball, we have successfully raised funds to meet the needs and wants of these young individuals. As we continue to grow, our commitment to creating engaging experiences that foster community and support, remains at the forefront of our mission. We are excited for what the future and the positive impact we can make together.
